Many sites are claiming Pierce The Veil are confirmed for Warped Tour 2012, but UTG is not sold on the idea just yet.

From what we can find, ShowingYouTheMusic posted a “news story” claiming another blogger told them Pierce The Veil was performing on next year’s tour. In fact, the post reads “Now my buddies in Live and Letlive TV recorded a interview with Vic Fuentes. In that interview he talks about new album slated to come out Summer 2012. After the interview they asked him will PTV be playing Warped Tour? Vic confirmed they will be on Warped in support of a new album. They couldn’t get it on camera but I trust them with this.”

For some reason, which we still do not understand, many blogs are taking this claim as fact. From what have found, using both the band’s various social networks and personal feeds, no one associated with Pierce The Veil has publicly made this claim.

We want to make it clear that we are not calling anyone a liar, we simply want to ensure the truth is what is reported and the truth is that we (and any other blog) cannot confirm Pierce The Veil’s presence on Van’s Warped Tour 2012 until the band or someone working for the tour does.

As soon as something happens, we will let you know. Until then, remember to always check sources for anything related to tours and albums that have yet to be publicly announced or released.
