UTG PHOTOS: Fearless Friends Tour (11/30/11)

November 30th was another night at Peabody’s in Cleveland, OH and another night of insanely talented bands.  This particular evening was the Fearless Friends Tour with Tonight Alive, Motionless in White, The Word Alive, and Blessthefall.  Needless to say, Blessthefall has been a band I’ve enjoyed since high school, so having the opportunity to finally see them live was something I couldn’t pass up.  The lineup was varied enough to keep you entertained all night, and the bands were wildly engaging.

Tonight Alive caught my ear a few months ago with their unique sound, heartfelt lyrics, and bubbly personalities.  Hailing from Sydney, Australia and fronted by the vivacious Jenna McDougall, Tonight Alive has been taking over stateside & continuing to spread their talent coast to coast.  They recently sat down with Punk Videos Rock, unveiling plans for Vans Warped Tour 2012.  Their set was the highlight of the night and they had everyone moving and singing along with hits such as “Starlight” off their October 14th album release, What Are You So Scared Of?

Next was Motionless in White, taking the stage in their signature dark makeup.  This metalcore band from Pennsylvania was the heaviest sound represented on the Fearless Friends Tour.  They played hits such as “Immaculate Misconception” and “Puppets” from their 2011 album, Creatures, which were met with a huge crowd response and subsequent circle pit.  They ended their set with “Abigail,” set to the continued circle pit and an immense amount of crowd surfing.

Second to last was The Word Alive, who has gained popularity over the past two years with appearances on Vans Warped Tour & tours with band like A Day To Remember and Underoath.  They played songs off their debut album, Deceiver, which was also released as a digital Deluxe Edition on June 7th.  They played songs off this release such as “Epiphany” as well as new songs like “Lights and Stones.”

Headlining was Blessthefall, who came out to a packed venue buzzing with excitement.  They began their set with an intro of “Promised Ones” off their new album Awakening, which was released on Fearless Records on October 4th.  They played several songs off this album fused between older songs, most notably “Rise Up” from the album, His Last Walk. Their incredible lighting also made the show even more distinguished and outstanding, often silhouetting Beau Bokan (vocals) in a backdrop of epic light set to their larger-than-life sound.  Check out the photos below for more from the Fearless Friends Tour!
