MAKE IT STOP: Cube Vision Confirms “Friday 4” In The Works

TMZ is reporting that Cube Vision, a production company owned by Ice Cube (once famous for being a badass, now famous for Are We There Yet?), has confirmed that efforts are underway to create fourth entry in the popular Friday franchise.

Few details are available yet, but the studio did confirm they are working on getting the entire cast back together. This follows news from only a few weeks ago that Tom Lister Jr. (Debo) had confirmed he and Chris Tucker had been asked to join the cast.

No words on title or plot, but multiple sites are reporting Last Friday as a possibility (insert your own joke about how we don’t care about what it’s called as long as it’s a “Good Friday“).

Last visited in 2002’s Friday After Next, the Friday franchise was pivotal in solidifying Cube’s presence in Hollywood. That said, he has come (or rather, gone) a long way since then in terms of public persona and how he chooses to present himself (First Sunday, Are We Done Yet, The Longshots) , so the idea of trying to rehash his badass, street-cred glory feels a bit like a reach for relevance to us. 1. Alano Revels says:

I cube has already set his mark as being versatile and creative, street cred is about being able to whole your own in the business, and he has done just that and being a fan of all of the Fridays I am sure that this one will be just as funny if not funnier than the other 3 fridays and, will be including an all star comedy cast. Katt Williams is coming out of retirement for this so you know that is going to be side splitting and extremely hilarious.
