LYRIC VIDEO: Say Anything – “Burn a Miracle”

Lyric videos have become a cheap and fun way for musicians to promote their music, that much is apparent. The fad has grown so much in this past year that even seasoned veterans to the scene have begun to utilize them. I’m of course talking about Say Anything and Bemis’ latest single, “Burn a Miracle.”

What is interesting about this lyric video is the fact that it was created by Casey Crescenzo of The Dear Hunter. A fellow musician helping out his pal, isn’t that sweet? Well so is this video, which is playable after the bump.

Furthermore, Max took the time to explain the song:

“Burn a Miracle” was written as a call to arms of sorts, to rally those who would destroy the boundaries that others and themselves placed on their lives. It was the first song I wrote for the record and sums up the whole LP in certain respects. The song pretty much declares war on fascism on all ends of the social spectrum, from fat cats to faux bohemians. I cannot wait to hear it screamed back at me when we head out on tour, as playing it live was one of the main things I had in mind when I wrote it.

Don’t forget, Anarchy My Dear is due for release in March, so save up your Christmas money for a speedy Spring purchase.

After that, It is going to take a few more listens to “Genre” to make me love them again. Not as excited as I thought I would be for the new album.-AS

    “I once courted a boy.”

I don’t get what he’s saying there. Any ideas?
