Get Ready, “Paranormal Activity 4” Is On The Way

Paramount Pictures confirmed rumors that have been circling for weeks today by announcing plans to release a fourth installment in the Paranormal Activity franchise later this year.

Though no plot, cast, or production details have been given, Paramount confirmed the project in a press release sent to journalists earlier today. In the release, a representative for Paramount wrote:

In 2012, Paramount’s release slate highlights include “World War Z,” a zombie thriller starring Brad Pitt and directed by Marc Forster, “G.I. Joe: Retaliation,” the next installment in the global franchise starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Channing Tatum, a new chapter in the “Paranormal Activity” franchise, and “The Dictator,” starring Sacha Baron Cohen and directed by Larry Charles, the team behind “Borat.”

Considering Paranormal Activity 3 made over $200 million at the box office, it only makes sense that Paramount would attempt a fourth round. That said, it will be interesting to see what direction the team behind the series decides to take this time around, especially considering the extra revelations found at the end of the third.

Are you ready for another round of Paranormal Activity? Comment below and let us know if you will be lining up to catch this when it arrives in cinemas later this year.
