After a couple reader emails and a conversation with James Wells himself, Under The Gun Review can now confirm The Gay Blades are not breaking up. In fact, they have new material on the way much sooner than you may think.

The rumors began to fly last night when the group replied “yes” to a fan question on Twitter asking if their upcoming February 10 show in New Jersey would be their last. Wells spoke with UTG shortly after we learned of the post and assured us it is “not true.” He then went on to hint at the arrival of new music from the duo as early as next week.

We do not want to give away all the trick The Gay Blades have in stores for 2012, but something tells us they will be more alive than ever. Stay tuned.
