“Cabin In The Woods” to premiere at SXSW

Joss Whedon’s Cabin In The Woods has had plenty of trouble getting a release date. After being shelved “indefinitely” for the last two years it looks like it will finally get a premiere at this years SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas in March.

Cabin In The Woods starts out as your typical “group of people go to a cabin in the woods” horror/thriller movie, but then takes a bunch of wild twists and turns as it unravels a story that is far more complex than you could have imagined and reconstructs itself in to a horror movie you’ll be sure to remember for years. It stars Kristen Connolly, Chris Hemsworth, Anna Hutchinson, and Fran Kraz. After many delays and financial difficulties since 2010 the film is finally being released by Lionsgate, most likely due to the recent popularity of Chris Hemsworth (Thor was, after all, the best superhero flick of last summer).
