Conor Oberst And The Mystic Valley Band Announce “One Of My Kind” Documentary DVD + B-Sides Release

Conor Oberst And The Mystic Valley Band have announced plans to release a full-length documentary entitled One Of My Kind on May 15.

The film, which was shot by guitarist Philip Schaffart, covers the group’s early career career, beginning with when they came together for the first time at Valle Místico in Tepoztlán, Mexico in January of 2008.

“When I started filming, none of us had the intentions of turning what was being shot into a film,” says Phil, “but the things we were seeing, feeling and capturing with the music proved to be inspiring in ways we were not prepared for.”

One Of My Kind will be released by Team Love on May 15 alongside a b-sides compilation featuring songs spanning the group’s career. A pre-order for the release can be found here.

A trailer for One Of My Kind can be found after the jump alongside the b-sides album’s tracklisting. Stay tuned for more details on One Of My Kind in the coming weeks.
