COULD BE GOOD: “Jackie Brown” Prequel Confirmed

There are countless blog posts scattered across the internet hating on the fact that nearly every film that finds a sliver of success in the mainstream winds up with a shitastic sequel/prequel, but this one may be different.

Variety is reporting that a prequel to Quentin Tarantino’s Jackie Brown, entitled Switch, is scheduled to begin shooting in May. The film, which Tarantino does appear to be involved with, will follow the early journeys of Ordell (originally portrayed by Samuel Jackson) and Louis (originally portrayed by Robert DeNiro). No specific plot details have been revealed at the time of this post, but click here to see what AICN thinks may happen.

Portraying the young Ordell and Louis? Yasiin Bey – aka Mos Def – and John Hawkes.

As the film is stil months away from shooting, details are currently scarce. Rest assured UTG will keep an eye out for any updates on Switch and deliver them you as soon as we possibly can.
