The award for best use of Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away” in 2012 goes to…
Earlier today, a new track from Lloyd entitled “Do It Again” made its way online. Featuring a guest appearance from Nelly and a sample of Berlin’s “Take My Breath Away,” there is little doubt in my mind that Lloyd has another hit on his hands. The hook is huge, which is helpful, but there is no denying the power of the sample on your love of the track. Stream, download, and enjoy “Do It Again” after the jump.
Samples are generally hit and miss on hip hop tracks, especially when you use pop classics, but Lloyd makes a familiar rhythm feel new once again with “Do It Again.” Stay tuned for more news on the crooner in coming weeks.
