James Baney Leaves The Devil Wear Prada

Keyboardist James Baney has officially left Ohio metalcore act The Devil Wears Prada.

The Devil Wears Prada announced Baney’s departure early Wednesday through their social networks. On their official Facebook, the group wrote:

With great deliberation and difficulty, we have decided to part ways with our keyboardist James Baney. James will always be family to TDWP, being one of the most well-intentioned people we know. Our prayers to James in beginning a new chapter with his wife back home, and our endless gratitude to TDWP fans for understanding. We’ll see you at a show soon.

We at UTG wish Baney all the best in his future endeavors.

Considering they are now without keyboards, what do you think TDWP will do next: Keep the keys or lost them altogether? Comment below and let UTG know your thoughts!

I think that they’ll get a touring member to play keys for the songs they have previously wrote, as for their future music I have no clue.

  • I don’t think keys are necessary with the band’s latest direction, but I always thought they were a cool part of the band. Super nice dude, too. I can’t help but wonder if he’s leaving because of his family, or if there were other reasons. I can’t help but think that the former is actually the case.

They’ll simply just sample them. It’s a huge part of their music.

Even though I’ll always love the keys in their older albums, I think it’s time to try an album without them. It’s be heavier and faster paced, so why not? No one can replace Janes anyway.
