HOLY SH!T: Former INDIE FILM SPOTLIGHT feature “Madison County” Arrives On DVD In May

In 2011 we brought you an in-depth interview/feature on then unreleased horror film Madison County. As of yesterday, that feature has a brand new home and with it, a long-awaited release date.

Arriving on unrated DVD May 8, Eric England’s Madison County has found a home at IMAGE Entertainment. In the film – inspired by true events — a group of college kids travel to Madison County to interview the author of a tell-all book on the accounts of several grisly murders that happened there. But when the kids get to Madison County, the author is nowhere to be found and the townspeople act like they haven’t seen him in years, stating that the killer never existed and the murders never happened. However, when the kids start digging around to get their own answers, they find out that the stories may be more real than the townspeople are letting on.

The DVD artwork and trailer for Madison County can be found after the jump. Stay tuned for more release details as the May street date approaches.
