The Gorillaz have done it yet again with a new single entitled “DoYaThing” that has been quite the buzz on indie blogs for the past few weeks. The song is a Converse 3 artists. One Song. collaboration between The Gorillaz, James Murphy and Andre 3000.
It was recorded live, using spontaneity and random inspiration as the driving force behind the song. The version recorded for Converse can be heard here. That was the “single” version if you will. There was however an extended cut of the song lasting a whopping 13 minutes that we have available for you here.
In this version you’ll find an extra verse from Mr. 3 Stacks, and a musical breakdown that highlights Andre 3000 repeatedly proclaiming “I’m the shit!” It’s a bizarre piece that leads you in seemingly 30 different directions. You can enjoy this perfectly outlandish track inside.
