Just a few days after dropping the audio, Gorillaz have partnered with Converse once more to unveil the official music video for “Do Ya Thing.”
If you somehow missed the premiere of “Do Ya Thing,” you have been missing out. Not only are the Gorillaz back in full force, but they brought along Outkast’s Andre 3000 and James Murphy for the ride. The video is an amazingly well-designed CGI glimpse at the group’s classic characters. Check it out, after the jump.
Gorillaz are poised for big things yet again in 2012. Are you ready for the madness to continue?

…WTF? I think part of my soul just died. If they’re having fun and enjoying this new direction, I’m glad for them, but for myself, I miss phase 1. The only part of the video I honestly liked was the little tiny bit of the intro to a song off their debut album.
Part of your soul died from not liking CGI? I guess I feel bad for you, because I loved it. Gorillaz has always been about obscurity, and now they’re mixing obscurity with realism, and I think it works really well.
