Fifteen years ago today, one of hiphop’s greatest voices was silenced. Biggie Smalls, AKA Notorious B.I.G. gave the world some of rap’s greatest verses and today UTG is celebrating his life and music with a collection of our favorite tracks and videos.
It is impossible to talk about the history of hiphop without discussing the work of Notorious B.I.G (born Christopher Wallace). Everything about his career was legendary, from the albums to the image, and while we do not claim to be the most well versed in his discography, we do take pride in our ability to recite many of the tracks you are about to hear.
Whether you’re a longtime enthusiast, a casual listener, or a blossoming rap fan looking to dive into one of hiphop’s timeless artists for the first time, we believe the following fifteen songs and videos represent the best of Biggie Smalls.
