Tyler, The Creator Anxious About Upcoming Odd Future Mixtape

We are only 3 precious days away from The Odd Future  Tape Vol. 2. How could we forget? Tyler the Creator and the whole OF crew has been reminding us on their respective twitter accounts for weeks.

After publicly saying that he didn’t care how many copies of the tape sold, crew frontman Tyler, the Creator has now said something a bit more contradictory. It seems Wolf Haley is a bit anxious at the prospective reception of the release, saying “I don’t know. I have my doubts. Everybody’s going on it and I just think, fuck, everybody might hate this shit.” He went on to clarify “Everybody might go: ‘What the fuck I this? We wanted this, we wanted that.’ There we go. We made an album we wanted to make. If everybody hates it, OK. We have an album we like.

Odd Future has never been a collective to pander to public wants, instead forming their own punk cult following. We’ve heard the tape and it’s pretty solid. It indeed has a vast variety of styles with contributions from every member of the OFWGKTA. SPOILER: Even the famed Earl Sweatshirt makes an appearance, marking his Odd Future release debut. You can find his verse on the tail-end of the track “Oldie” which is found at the end of the record.

I have my doubts that OF Tape Vol. 2 will be anything but a success. Even if I’m wrong, Odd Future fans will dig it. Find the tape on March 20th wherever you buy music.

This looks like an awesome Odd Future album! Their video for “Rella” is off the chain. http://bit.ly/xlvJBK
