Ain’t No Party Like An S Club 7 Party Cause an S Club 7 Party Don’t Stop (Apparently)

In a shocking turn of events, UK pop group from the 90’s S Club 7 is apparently reforming this summer for a UK tour and two album deal, the Huffington Post says. S Club 7 joins the ranks of the Backstreet Boys and New Kids on the Block who have come back to reclaim the glory days (were there glory days?) and put out some new music and tour for their fans. For some, this will be really awesome, and I totally understand the appeal, but this recent trend of groups like this getting together is quite odd to me. But then again, it’s similar to going to see Queen play a reunion tour without Freddy Mercury, except instead of watching someone who nowhere compares to Mercury or their actual glory days, you get to relive 90’s pop when groups actually had some talent and danced more than they actually sang.

Nothing has been said as to when this tour will happen or when their new cd’s will be released, but UTG will keep you updated with details. In the meantime, break out some brightly colored, low top shirts and check out one of their videos after the break. I don’t care what people say, every time I hear that “Aint No Party…” section of this song I think of Daggermouth. Sue me.
