The announcement of Anchorman 2 being greenlit is still making its way around the globe, but that is not stopping the team behind the film from getting an early start on teasing us with the film’s plot.

In a recent interview with Salon, Anchorman 2 Director (and longtime Will Ferrell collaborator) Adam Mackay was asked to discuss what could be expected of Ron Burgundy’s long-awaited return to the screen. Never one to be direct with such questions, Mackay responded with the following:

“I don’t want to give away too much, but I’ll just give a couple of pieces ideas that we’ve kicked around. Keep in mind we’re still writing the story, but I’ll say one phrase for you; custody battle. I’ll give you that. I’ll give you another one: bowling for dollars.”
