We Are the Union Recording New Album

Ska-punk outfit We Are the Union have released an official statement telling fans they are recording their full-length follow-up to 2010’s Great Leaps Forward.

This new album is anticipated to release in late 2012 via Paper + Plastick Records. It is being recorded both with Mark Michalik at Drasik Studios and Nick Diener of The Swellers in his home studio. Please keep it locked We Are the Union’s Facebook page for more details in the weeks to come.

“We’re in the studio now finishing up six songs to complete a new full length. We recorded a 7-song EP last spring, and decided after we finished that the songs were too strong to just be an EP,” says vocalist/guitarist Reed Wolcott. “We went back to the drawing board and came up with six more tunes. These are the strongest songs we’ve written. We’re coming at you with full force.”
