DAMMIT: Common Wants A J Dilla Hologram

By now most of you have probably seen, or at least read about the hologram 2Pac that performed alongside Snoop Dogg during the closing night of Coachella. Some love it, others hate it, and some still do not understand how the trick even works, but no matter what your opinion there is no denying what a hot topic the technology has become and so it may come as no surprise that others want a piece of the action.

While speaking with TheUrbanDaily earlier this week, living legend Common revealed that he would be interested in having a digitally recreated J Dilla join him on stage. To quote him directly:

We have to talk about hip-hop for a second. The big thing in hip-hop right now is 2Pac’s hologram image performing with Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg at Coachella. Would you ever consider doing that with J Dilla’s image?

Yeah, that would be incredible. I would love to do something like that. I mean J Dilla is one of the greatest influences on me ever in my career. He is one of my greatest friends since I got to know him. I would love to pay homage to him and do that.
