This Love Disbands

The word has been trickling around personal Facebook pages that Ohio pop rock group, This Love has disbanded. This Love released their last record, entitled At War (iTunes) in 2o11.

After a bit of touring and small lineup change, the band grew quiet, leading most fans to wonder what was up the band’s sleeves. Many hoped new material was in the works, several UTG staffers were in that bunch.

After some social network digging, we have found that vocalist/guitarist Joe McFaddin and bassist Jacob Sims have left the band to pursue a new project called Red Hot Revival.

Joe had this to say on his personal Facebook page:

“Attn: I have decided to part with This Love. Much love to all my fans and friends who have supported me throughout this ride. Follow me and Jacob Michael Sims in our new project Facebook.com/redhotrevival and purchase our new album “Thunderheads” at redhotrevival.bandcamp.com . Jake and I recorded it ourselves. Please share with your friends!! Let’s continue to grow together !!”

The new project has already released a full length album entitled Thunderheads on their Bandcamp Page. You can purchase it there for $7. We’ve yet to find any official announcements from any members of This Love, but we have asked several of the members for comment.
