Handguns Tease Guest Vocalist for New Album, RUMOR: It May Be Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus

Handguns posted a studio update today teasing a guest vocalist on their new album, Angst. The band recently went on twitter and was looking around for guest vocalists, and it appears that someone was interested in helping out. While they didn’t exactly confirm in the studio update who it is, from the vocals and the way they were talking it appears to be that the singer is Mark Hoppus of Blink 182. Jake of Handguns last week only tweeted at Mark Hoppus about the record and getting guest vocals on it, so I think it’d be really safe to say that it is him.

This rumor, and I repeat, RUMOR, that Hoppus is on the record is mindblowing to UTG, and if it turns out to be true there will be some major attention brought to the band’s newest release not only within the established pop-punk community but to the rabid Blink fan base that generally doesn’t steer away from anything that isn’t Blink 182 or their member’s related projects. UTG will report after things are confirmed, but from the looks of things, we see this as a very real possibility.

Check out the studio update after the break and let UTG know what you think and if you believe Hoppus is on the new Handguns album!
