Our friends in Absolutepunk.net bring you an exclusive stream today of Set Your Goals’ new songs “Only Right Now” and “I’ll Walk It Off” from their yet to be titled follow up to Burned at Both Ends. Their last release polarized fans, some loving it, seemingly a lot more disliked it. It happens when you put out more than one release. There is no doubt in my mind that this new effort from Set Your Goals is going to be loved by any type of pop-punk fan. The production of Chad Gilbert is fantastic (blowing Burned at Both Ends out of the water), and the songs have that same Set Your Goals catchiness in the vein of their beloved Mutiny!, but more mature and dare I say it, possibly better. Only time will tell if the entire album is like this, but if this is any inclination to the record we’re getting this summer, let’s just say we found one of our pop-punk jams for the summer.
