Chino Moreno (Deftones) Announced As New Palms Vocalist

New rock outfit Palms have announced that Chino Moreno (Deftones) will take over vocals for the group.

Palms consists of ex-Isis members Aaron Harris, Clifford Meyer and Jeff Caxide. They are expected to release their debut album later this year through Ipecac Recordings, which was recorded/mixed by Aaron Harris.

Chino and Aaron released statements on the special announcement and can be read by simply looking below. UTG looks forward to this project and will continue to bring you the latest updates on Palms.

Aaron Harris (Palms)
“Clifford, Jeff and I started Palms a little over a year ago out of a desire to continue making music together after ISIS ended. Chino joined shortly after and our sound took shape from there. We’ve worked really hard on this first release and are excited for people to hear it. It’s nice to be back behind the drum kit, and with this line up.”

Chino Moreno issued his statement as well:
“Being a huge ISIS fan I’ve always dug the moods these dudes convey with their sound. I am excited to combine my sense of creativity with theirs, and to have fun doing so.”
