Folk group River City Extension released a new song today titled “Ballad of Oregon”, that will be coming off of their new record Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Your Anger on June 5. Their new album will be their second full-length release as a band, and as relative new comers to the indie-folk scene, they are really making a splash with performances at Bonnaroo this summer and extensive touring.
According to the article on American Songwriter that accompanies the stream here, the band added a ton of new instruments including cello, trumpet, mandolin and banjo to their sound to further push themselves.
What do you think of the new song? Awesome, right? Let UTG know what you think!
