HOLY SH!T: Check Out Adam Lambert’s Orwellian Video For “Never Close Our Eyes”

Riding high on the success of his latest album Trespassing, Adam Lambert continues to claim his rightful place atop the pop world this week with the release of his official video for “Never Close Our Eyes.” The clip, which can be found below, borrows heavily from the story and ideals of Orwell’s classic novel, 1984, and features Lambert fighting for a free society.

If you somehow slept on Trespass and/or foolishly wrote Lambert off in the past, I cannot encourage you enough to give his latest material a spin. I have no doubts this album will be near the top of our Best of 2012 list, and if give it a chance, it’ll likely top yours as well.

Gotta love this concept. And then the neon dancing at the end is just icing on the cake. I love it!! Adam is kinda insane really – but in a good way. I can relate. LOL

Nice review. :)  I agree that Trespassing is one of the best of 2012. (BTW, the album is called “TrespassING” & the new single is “Never Close OUR Eyes”.) Great video, great album!

Many thanks for your kind words about Lambert and Trespassing – yes, it is that good.  It deserves the greatest success.  Best voice out there today.

  4. 1984? There are similarities, but everybody is talking about my first thought, Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World. The heavily structured totalitarian society in that book uses a drug called soma (pills as in the video) to control and placate the masses. And, unlike the less-structured society of 1984, where the proletarians are considered free like animals, in Brave New World the lower castes are brainwashed to do menial labor, also as shown in the NCOE video.

Surprisingly serious subject matter for such a party song, although the lyrics have some connection, but this really makes me eager for Adam to begin the acting career he’s said he wants to pursue. I love the structured story and the opportunity Adam had to show off his chops a little bit.

I bought the CD and I haven’t liked a CD so much since Lady GaGa’s Monster. Trespassing is def one of the best pop CD’s in the last several years.

I think this CD has the most cohesiveness I have ever heard in the past 10 years. Well thought out and a gift to his fans and new fans to come. His voice is amazing;his acting skills a very special addition to the whole package. Each song is so good I cannot really pick a favorite. I challenge anyone out there to down load this  CD even if Adam was not your pick in the past. I ask ;you to join the future of this talent and join us Glamberts for a ride.
