With just under two months to go until Christopher Nolan’s behemoth conclusion to the Dark Knight trilogy hits cinema screens, the marketing campaign is stepping up a notch with a new TV spot. This 30-second clip uses mainly the same footage as the theatrical trailer, with a few chilling additions including Sir Michael Caine’s Alfred telling Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale), “You’re not Batman anymore.” The breakneck pace, chaotic crowd scenes, and frenetic editing also give a further indication as to the extent of the carnage Tom Hardy’s ruthless Bane will bring to bear on Gotham.
The Dark Knight Rises, one of the most hotly anticipated movies of the summer, opens on July 20th and also stars Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Marion Cotillard. You can watch the new clip below, and be sure to let us know what you think!
