The xx Announce New Album

Finally! It’s been a long, unbearable three years with no new material from the English indie-pop group, but The xx have announced that the follow-up to their 2009 self-titled debut is entitled Coexist and will be released September 11 in the U.S. and September 10 internationally via Young Turks!

Consider us stoked since their debut is still in regular rotation for us here at UTG. That intro… oh, that intro! You know you’re an awesome band when the creator of The Simpsons and Futurama chooses you personally to headline two of his parties in England.

The band recently said, “After a long time on the road, we took a break, created our own studio and wrote these new songs that we’re so looking forward to playing to you.” The xx will be playing some new songs from Coexist on their world tour that starts next week in Italy. We’ve got the dates for you after the break!
