Drew York and Dan Bourke of Long Island hardcore act Stray From the Path announced a new side project with Andrew Jones (Backup Plan) titled Church and State.

The band hasn’t put out any material yet, but right now they are in the process of writing some new songs. There is no word as to how the band will actually sound, but I think it’s a fair assumption that it will be some type of hardcore music. Side projects are fun, but can sometimes be annoying, so it’ll be interesting to see how this project turns out. You can follow the band’s progress on UTG, but also on their Facebook here.
