Slipknot Announce Two-Day Music Festival, Tease Lineup

Slipknot teamed up with Rolling Stone to unleash details for their two day-long Knotfest and it looks to be insane. Knotfest will be held August 17/August 18, the first day of the event is in the band’s home state of Iowa and the second will be located in Somerset (on the border of Wisconsin and Minnesota).

The enormous line-up features such renowned acts such as Deftones, Lamb of God, Deathlok, Serj Tankian, the Urge, Cannibal Corpse. More bands are going to be released in the days to come. Read what Slipknot had to say to RS and let UTG know if you plan on trekking to Knotfest.

“It’s all about having fun and bringing something to the world of rock & roll, bringing it to the standard it used to be,” Slipknot’s Shawn “Clown” Crahan tells Rolling Stone. “It’s time for us to really engulf this idea known as Knotfest where we’re in control, we make a day devoted to our mindset, our ideas, the people that we want to play with, the people that we think our fans want to be around.”
