A couple months ago when indie-pop duo, The Cinema, announced that they would be delving into hip-hop, many shook their heads. Some thought of scene-producer mastermind Matt Malpass and Lydia singer Leighton Antelman rhyming and/or producing a hip-hop adventure as far-fetched or even foolish. Alas, the duo made good on their word…without Antelman coming up with the bars thankfully.
The Cinema teamed up with Milwaukee, Wisconsin hip-hop artist, Somnous (Sean Rogers) on a track called “Beautiful.” You can stream the song after the jump. “Beautiful” will be available on iTunes and Amazon on 15 June. At least the song is intriguing.
