LYRIC VIDEO: Pierce The Veil – King For A Day

The other day we had the pleasure of finally getting to listen to the entire length of Pierce The Veil’s latest single, titled “King For A Day”, featuring frontman Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens. The track will be featured on their upcoming full length titled Collide With The Sky which is currently set to be released July 17th.

Today, they have released a lyric video exclusively streaming at hottopic.com. You can check out the video right here. If you haven’t heard the track yet, then I highly recommend listening to it!

Here’s a quote of Vic talking about working on the song with Kellin, the quote is taken from Revolver Mag.

This song is about getting pushed past your breaking point. Sometimes I feel like there are just too many things weighing on my mind at once and I can’t control my thoughts or even my body at times. Mike [Fuentes, Pierce the Veil’s drummer and Vic’s brother] came up with the title and I thought it was a perfect way to describe the song. We wrote the music for this song with my friends Curtis Peoples and Steve Miller in a cabin that we converted into a studio in Big Bear, California. For months, fans had been tweeting at me to do a song with Kellin Quinn from the band Sleeping With Sirens. I had never met him before, but we started talking on Twitter due to our mutual fans. I asked him if he’d be down to do a song together and the rest is history! Big thanks to our boy Kellin for joining forces and making something special with us, and another big thanks to our fans for inspiring the collaboration.
