HISTORY: Today is the 68th Anniversary of D-Day

So we’re a music, movies, and entertainment website, we know this. All of our readers come here to read about the latest news, and we love and appreciate you to death. Today, we want for people to take a moment out of their day to reflect on the 68th anniversary of D-Day, or the the storming of the beaches of Normandy on June 6, 1944 during the Allied battle against the Axis powers in World War II. I’m not going to get super preachy, super patriotic or anything or that nature here. However today was such an important day that needs to be noted. Through the sacrifices of man then, we as a site have the freedom to do what we love, and we cannot express our gratitude to those who died and fought that day.

We’d love for you to share some thoughts on the subject in the comments, but as a film website, we’d like to share the scene from Saving Private Ryan where they storm the beach. Movies a lot of the time are not accurate to actual events, but according to countless veterans who saw the movie and actually stormed the beach, this is about as real as it gets. Thank you for reading UTG, but moreso, thank you to veterans and their families who serve and protect this country.
