RZA Releases Poster + Picture From New Movie

RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan has recently stepped out of the music world and has been working on a new project: writing and directing a kung fu movie titled The Man with the Iron Fists. RZA has been working with horror director Eli Roth during the script writing process, and has also been creatively collaborating with Quentin Tarantino. Let that settle in for a second, yes, RZA is making a movie with Quentin Tarantino and Eli Roth.

Now I know what you’re wondering, “What the hell makes RZA qualified to get such big backing from two of the more influential genre directors in the industry right now?” Well, he knows the right people and apparently knows his shit. For those who don’t know, RZA was the composer for Kill Bill Vol. 1, and through this experience has become close friends with Tarantino over their shared love of kung fu movies. If you’ve ever listened to Wu-Tang you can hear samples from old kung fu movies throughout.

The plot of The Man with the Iron Fists (as stolen from IMDB) is:

In feudal China, a blacksmith who makes weapons for a small village is put in the position where he must defend himself and his fellow villagers.

Oh just in case you were wondering as well, the movie is starring Russell Crowe, Jamie Chung, Lucy Liu, Pam Grier, Dave Bautista, RZA and more. That cast is fantastic, and I can borderline guarantee this movie won’t be nothin’ to fuck with (see what I did there?).

Do I need to sway you anymore? Are you really not convinced this movie is going to be a lot of fun? Go after the break to see the poster for the movie as well as an eye-poppin’ new still from the movie (or more likely the soon to come trailer).
