Contrary to earlier reports, Lamb Of God frontman Randy Blythe remains in a Prague prison today and will be staying there for at least the next few days in connection with the death of a 19-year-old fan more than two years ago.
Blythe was expected to be released today after posting $250,000 bail, but the court saw otherwise. Judge Petr Fassati of Prague 8 district court stated:
“There may well be certain conditions placed upon [Blythe’s] release, such as staying in the Czech Republic, or the availability of a specific address. If the conditions are violated, it could lead to an international arrest warrant being issued.”
As a result of this new development, the official statement expected today from Lamb Of God has been delayed until next week.
We wish the best for Randy right now and extend our warmest thoughts to his extended Lamb Of God family around the world. Stay tuned for more updates.
