USA Today announced recently that Trent Reznor, the man behind Nine Inch Nails, is composing the theme song for the latest in the wildly successful Call of Duty franchise. Trent said this about the music
“There is a lot of reservation and angst and sense of loss and regret and anger bubbling under the surface, so it didn’t make sense to have a gung-ho patriotic feeling kind of theme song. It has to feel weighty.”
Trent Reznor has always been a vocal gamer, even composing the music for 1996’s Quake. His last music project was composing music for last year’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
