Your favorite animated-turned-real-life death metal outfit Dethklok will be performing their first live set of 2012 tonight in San Diego at the multi-genre convention, Comic-Con.
If that’s not cool enough, the band, fronted by Metalocalypse creator and super shredder extraordinaire Brendon Small, will be performing aboard the USS Midway battleship. The current line-up will feature Small with friends Gene Hoglan (Strapping Young Lad, Testament) on drums, Mike Keneally (Frank Zappa, The Mike Keneally Band) on guitar, and Bryan Beller (Steve Vai, Galaktikon) on bass.
The concert is free (can’t do much better other than to pay people to come) and will begin at 7pm. The show will feature brand new animation and some songs from Dethklok’s forthcoming album. Lucky Southern California residents!
