WATCH: New Clip From The Bourne Legacy

With all the excitement and anticipation surrounding the imminent arrival of The Dark Knight Rises, it’s easy to forget there are quite a few big-name movies still to come this summer. One is the next chapter in the hugely-successful Bourne franchise, with Jeremy Renner taking over headlining duties from Matt Damon. A new clip from The Bourne Legacy has appeared online, which you can watch after the jump.

Renner stars as Aaron Cross, a new character to the series, alongside fellow newcomers Rachel Weisz as Dr. Marta Shearing and Edward Norton as Ret. Colonel Ric Byer. The film promises to expand on existing storylines, uncovering a multitude of secrets which indicate that all was not as it seemed when Jason Bourne was at the helm. This new clip features Cross rescuing Shearing from cops, with Renner showcasing the impressive action chops that stood out in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. The Bourne Legacy opens in US cinemas on August 10th, and in UK/Irish cinemas on August 13th.
