Tool Guitarist Adam Jones Tells Fans To Relax

Tool’s Adam Jones is not exactly thrilled at the fact that tons of fans keep asking him if their new album is close to being done. Below are two quotes from the artist’s Facebook politely telling us all that Tool plan on releasing this material when it is ready, from the band’s standpoint. Would you enjoy a half-assed record done sooner or an excpetional record done later? That is what we thought.

“To those of you who demand a new album from Tool: would you rather get something mediocre now, or something impressive later?”

“Truth is, we don’t write for you, we write for us — but we don’t share for us, we share for you.”

Your fans are the ones who put food on your table and a roof over your head, so you better release something impressive NOW. Seriously guys, do your job like everyone else does, in GOOD time, not 6 fucking years.

I’ve been banned from his facebook for years since I told him he sucked :( now I dislike him even more. Danny and Justin are the cool ones

Danny does art and graphic design and spends a lot of time with his wife Camilla, Justin has a family, Danny plays in Volto and does his thing and Maynard has 3 projects and his own vineyard…pretty sure they are in no rush…i have been a fan since 99..i was in elementary…let the music and writing be organic and take the time it needs.I am in no rush…but am very excited at the same time.

Let them get on with it you fool, who the fuck are you to think you’re so important? What an idiot, they’ll release when they’re good and ready, what are you, 12??

art is different than normal 9-5 jobs, but even art, and in the film buisness has deadlines , and the really great artists can pull it off. maybe these guys arent as good as you think. it took them 5 years to make 5 songs on their last album ( longtime fans had mixed reviews on that effort)… i think people are way too high on this band, and your putting pressure on this band because they pressure themselves…So, at the root of all things – it’s TOOL’s fault for misleading the fan base, fans think this band is amazing for writing 4 to 5 songs and 10 fillers with noise.??? okay houston we have a major problem.

How do you get 5 songs out of 10K days … what songs off that album do you not consider “songs”?
