STREAM: Kill Lincoln – “Brick Song”

It’s time to introduce you to your new favorite ska-punk band: Kill Lincoln. Hailing from the historical streets of Washington, DC, Kill Lincoln has decided to bring a new sound to the city. If you like bands like We are the Union and Goldfinger, you will feel right at home with these DC boys. Kill Lincoln has been playing TONS of shows on the East Coast, opening for legendary ska bands such as Reel Big Fish and Less than Jake. Simply put, Kill Lincoln is quickly becoming one of the best up and coming ska bands in the tri-state area, and you’d be a fool not to check them out now before they are doing full US tours.

However none of those sentences really matter if their music can’t back it up. Well, it does. Kill Lincoln just released a new song on their Bandcamp today titled “Brick Song,” which is off of their forthcoming EP That’s Cool… In a Totally Negative and Destructive Way. That EP, which I’ve had the pleasure of hearing parts of, is going to be absolutely fantastic, and hopefully will revitalize and bring hope to what has become a relatively stagnant ska scene.

You can check out “Brick Song” after the break, but make sure you check them out on tour. Their record release show is tonight in DC, and they’ll be giving away copies of their new EP with the $5 you spend to get in. If you’re in the area, come hang out. They’re playing with No Such Noise!, Boardroom Heroes and others. Come get weird with me.
