DAMMIT: A “Saw” Remake May Be Closer Than You Think

Just when you thought horror was beginning to find a new sense of pride in the ability of indie filmmakers, one of the biggest studios to embrace horror goes and leaks something downright stupid.

According to a story on Bloody-Disgusting, Lionsgate is currently considering the idea of rebooting the Saw franchise (though an 8th entry to the series is not out of the question). This is not a joke. Jigsaw will return.

I don’t have to dive into how fresh this series still is on viewer’s palettes, but seriously, how much instant nostalgia do we need before enough is enough? Continue the series or start something new, but PLEASE wait a few more years before digging back into the original.
