The Illinois state police have already arrested ten people at the Gathering of The Juggalos in Cave-In-Rock, Illinois, a day before the festival even begins. Police became involved with the crowd after cars started arriving at 6am this morning and began backing up traffic.
However it appears that no arrests have been made for any serious crimes at this time. Hardin County Sheriff Joyce Cullison addressed the issue stating:
“We’ve had 10 or 15 in four or five hours,” says Cullison. Six involved drug charges (“Not a large amount either”), one for unpaid child support. The rest were apprehended for lacking auto insurance, vehicle registration, or driving with a revoked license. No weapons have been found, so far.”
With the gates not officially opening up until tomorrow there is still plenty of time for the juggalos to run into some more trouble. Under The Gun will be monitoring the situation, so be sure to check back for any more news on the festival. Check out a picture of the traffic-filled field below.
