Dance Gavin Dance Join Rock Yourself To Sleep Tour, Tease “Secret Band” Album Release

Dance Gavin Dance have kept themselves busy (and quiet) during the past few weeks of Jonny Craig meltdowns (round 3), but today we have two new updates on the band’s plans moving forward that I think will keep fans excited for the future.

When Jonny Craig was originally kicked off the All Stars tour, the remaining members of Dance Gavin Dance performed under the name “Secret Band.” The group, consisting of Jon Mess, Will Swan, Eric Lodge and Matt Mingus, have announced plans to record their debut album together in the coming weeks. After recording ends, Dance Gavin Dance will be meeting up with newly recruited vocalist Tilian Pearson and hopping on the Fall 2012 edition of the “Rock Yourself To Sleep” tour. No dates have been announced yet, but according to a recent update from DGD it would appear that the run will take place in November.

UTG is reaching out to gain more information on both these announcements, but I think it’s safe to say Fall/Winter 2012 will be HUGE for fans of Dance Gavin Dance. Stay tuned!
