Villagers Stream New Single, “The Waves”

Conor J. O’Brien fronted Irish indie outfit, Villagers, are streaming a brand new single following up their outstanding 2010 debut, Becoming a Jackal.

“The Waves” is quite the departure from their previous effort, incorporating electronics, but it still holds their recognizable sound, leaving us eager to get more from their forthcoming album. You can stream “The Waves” after the jump and buy it from iTunes way ahead of its October 22 release (according to the band’s website). There’s no word as to whether October 22 is the release date of a new album or just this single alone but as of now it seems to be the latter.
