G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean delivered his latest mixtape, Detroit, at 8 o’clock Eastern last night and quickly shutdown both DatPiff and LiveMixtapes. Within thirty minutes, Sean’s tape had been accessed by over 150,000 users on DatPiff alone, and the record’s title quickly became a trending topic across the nation. We stayed up rocking the album’s seventeen tracks throughout the night at UTG HQ and have pulled together five tracks you need to know moving into the new day.
Let me be clear: Big Sean did something very special with Detroit. In fact, of all the mixtapes we’ve featured on UTG this year, I can honestly say I’ve never felt more confident in saying this is one that should be experienced in its entirety when possible. That said, life is hectic and we understand not everyone has an hour to kill on a record they know very little about, so kick back and let us do the work for you. Click past the jump, stream our staff’s five favorite jams, and download each one you enjoy to your computer (for free).
