Mark Hoppus Confirms Green Day & Blink-182 Tour Is NOT Happening, Admits It Is A “Good Idea”

Rumors have been swirling all weekend that Green Day and Blink-182 were gearing up to announce a 10-year anniversary edition of their hugely successful Pop Disaster Tour from 2002. We never ran the rumor because, honestly, we couldn’t find a single person to serve as a “source” for this information. Turns out, that was a good move.

As you may have already read, earlier today Green Day announced the first leg of their forthcoming North American tour, sans any details on who would be supporting them. Blogs saw this as an opening to again approach the idea of Pop Disaster 2.0, but a conversation between MTV and Blink bassist Mark Hoppus has finally closed the conversation once and for all. Writing to MTV, Hoppus stated:

“At this time there is no truth to that rumor.”

He Then added:

“However, that tour was one of the best times we’ve had on the road. Good idea! Let’s make it happen. Pop Disaster 2.0! Somebody call somebody else and tell me when to be ready for the first show.”

THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE!
