STREAM/DOWNLOAD: Frank Ocean – “Blue Whale”

FrankOcean2012

It’s September of 2012. Is it safe to assume that we all know Frank Ocean by now? Ok, let’s do that.

In a tumblr post tonight, the Odd Future crooner changed things up by releasing a rap song. That’s right, instead of singing sweetly over an ambient backtrack, Frank took to rhythmic rhyme on “Blue Whale.”

We think it’s pretty great, but we want your opinion. Should he stick to crooning or is this ok too?

We have the stream and download for you here.

  • Why doesn’t the author of this article know that Frank Ocean raps? He’s rapped on plenty of songs, any OF fan that listened to Goblin could tell you.

  • I am well aware of his history, but Frank has only been in the spotlight for a short while. A fast majority of our readers might not know of his work prior to Channel Orange. We’re happy you recognize his other works though! Have you heard the Lonny Breaux Collection?
