We’ll be watching every film the day it’s featured, and we hope you’ll follow along at home. If you have a suggestion, contact us and we may include your favorite scarefest in an upcoming column!

DAY 4: Some Guy Who Kills People (2011)

Some Guy Who Kills People is a relatively (and unfortunately) unknown indie horror/comedy gem starring Kevin Corrigan (the brother from Grounded For Life). Corrigan stars as Ken, a man recently released from a mental institution. The people who drove Ken to the institution start turning up dead, so he quickly becomes the top suspect in the murders. At the same time Ken finds out he is the father of an 11 year old girl and the town sheriff is dating his mother. Things may not be looking good for Ken, but the audience is in for a great ride.

I first looked into this movie because I have always been a fan of Kevin Corrigan, and he does not disappoint. His portrayal of the socially awkward victim is spot on. The film is laced with sarcasm and humor in addition to the great murders and mystery. Some Guy Who Kills People is slower than most horror movies, but in no way is that a bad thing. The story is character driven and very engaging, so the pacing is perfect. The terror level is not the highest, so it is a great one to watch with people that are not that into being scared. You can see the trailer for Some Guy Who Kills People below:

Clearly, a perfect mix of comedy and horror, and definitely one you will want to check out. In fact, why don’t you just save yourself some time and buy Some Guy Who Kills People? You will not regret it.
