Motion City Soundtrack are streaming “Severance” a new song off Making Moves, the band’s upcoming 7″ EP.
“We really wanted to write [‘Severance’] for [June 2012’s] ‘Go’ but it just didn’t happen,” vocalist Justin Pierre told Billboard. “I think of all the songs, ‘Severance’ is my favorite because it’s really different, and I get to wail on the guitar — it’s my best Slash imitation.”
According to Billboard, the 7″ vinyl will feature two new songs, “Severance” and “Major Leagues”. A third bonus track of the band covering Rilo Kiley’s “Picture of Success” will be available on the digital release.
Making Moves will be released on November 6 via MAD Dragon Records and Boombox Generation, Motion City Soundtrack’s own label. Stream “Severance” here.
