Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire have their farewell tour this December, having recently added extra dates due to demand. Now, they have announced the openers for these last shows.
The surprise? UK punk band Ghost of a Thousand is reforming to open on select shows. The band said “We feel that we owe [Alexisonfire] a great deal of gratitude and wouldn’t want to turn them down and give them a proper farewell.” So it looks like a farewell to both bands in some ways, but we’ll be hoping both stay together.
One opener is yet to be announced. Could another band reform to open for Alexisonfire? Will another Canadian band with fire in their title, Arcade Fire, open? Let us know your thoughts in the comments and see the full list of of openers and tour dates after the jump.
